The Lodge is the latest addition to the Mayaland Resorts family. Opened in 1997, its 40 rooms and suites are distributed among five, two-story villas built with materials native to the region - most especially the handsopme hardwoods for which this part of the world is known. The rooms are individual masterpieces whose appointments are handpicked from the work of local artisans. The generous use of rich mahogany is enhanced by the addition of ethnic ceramics, textiles, and artwork. |
| Doors are intricately carved with Mayan motifs,
stained glass windows set the rooms aglow with understated color.
Suites, junior suites and master bedrooms are available. All
accommodations have air-conditioning, ceiling fans, servibars and
satellite color TV; suites include private Jacuzzis and king-sized
beds. And, in keeping with the customs of the region, rocking chairs
and hammocks await your pleasure on the terrace.
Villas look out over a central courtyard flanked by patches of emerald lawn, acacia and wild tamarind trees. |
