Brewed: October 27, 1995
Better than the previous batch (a *) but problems continue...
most notably the leathery aftertaste is still present. I have
decided to start systematically eliminating the variables that
may be causing the off-flavors of the last several batches, in
the hopes of getting things back on track. Anyway, this was the
lightest brew we tried yet, only 5 lbs of light malt extract and
some rye grist (which worked very well in the Dark Victory). Side
note: Razbljuto is a very useful word in Russian which really
should be in English. It is best translated as 'the feeling a man
has for a woman he once loved but now does not.'
