The AlarmThey say 'No Man Is an Island,' but for those of us who come a bit close, this song is written about us. "The Rock" |

The Alarm was considered another "U2-MeToo" band when they first hit American shores, even though their style was pretty different. But the band stuck around for years because, at the heart of it, they still had something to say. Here they speak to people like me who have had no choice but to become self-sufficient because we don't fit in to the crowd well. Most such people, as the song says, are just asking for a tiny bit of understanding -- but often receive nothing but insults in return.
