Unusual Deviled Egg Options

Ingredients:  Eggs, duhh.  But consider putting some weird stuff into your Deviled Eggs.

> "Hey, would you like to eat 6 hard-boiled eggs in a row?"

>  "Nahhhhh, I'd get sick of the taste by the second one."

>  "How about if I scramble the yolks with mayo and pepper?"

>  "Actually sure, I'll eat a dozen."

As mentioned elsewhere on this page, Eggs have been completely exonerated health-wise, and are basically a perfect food for most people.  They're great for Keto and diabetics, but I tend to get tired of eating multiple eggs every single day.

Most people are pretty fond of Deviled Eggs, though.  Add salt, mayo, maybe black pepper and paprika to the cooked yolks -- and blend it well to make sure it's smooth & creamy, no chunks.  Then stuff that filling back into the halved hard-boiled whites.  Most people will go wild.

When you start to get bored with _that_... there are still _EVEN FURTHER_ dimensions of Deviled Eggs that you can reach if you try!

To spice up the yolk filling, try adding...
  • "Dan-O's seasoning" (multiple varieties) and a touch of hot sauce such as Tabasco or Tapatio.  And/or Parmesan cheese.
  • Bleu Cheese.
  • Spicy guacamole.
  • Bacon bits with hot sauce.  Bacon bits with finely diced tomato and shredded cheese.
  • Jalapeno pepper slices.  With some of the other seasonings listed here.
  • Small bits of shredded chicken or shredded pork with ranch dressing.  Or Caesar dressing.
  • Small bits of smoked salmon, with capers and green onions and cream cheese.
  • Small bits of shredded crab meat, or imitation crab meat, with cream cheese and Asian sauce such as sweet chili sauce drizzled on top.
  • Crumbled cooked ground beef & finely diced sautéed onions, with Nacho cheese sauce, or the same with Barbecue sauce.
  • Small bits of Lamb meat, with shredded lettuce and Tzatziki sauce.
  • Panko bread crumbs to any of the above, to add crunch.  Yeah it's flour and carbs, but not very much of it.  If you don't want to do that, maybe add some coarse ground cashews or almonds or walnuts to get the crunch.
